12:30 – 5:00 pm Workshop Registration – Arrival and check in of workshop participants & dinner attendees

1:00- 2:00 pm: Workshop  #1 (Choice of one)
  • Session A: Fund Raising – presented by Steven Goldberg – Madison College 
  • Session B: Recruit and Retain Members and Volunteers – Teri Engelke – UW - Madison 
  • Session C: Managing Friends Projects – presented by a Friends panel and Missy Vanlanduyt – DNR Parks (Note: This option continues into session two. 
  • Session D: Friends websites and using Social Media – presented by Randy Paske and Jonathan Ringdahl- FWSP Board members
2:15- 3:15 pm: Workshop  #2 – (Choice of One)
  • Session E: Best Practices – presented by Mike Samsa – FWSP Board member 
  • Session F: Recruit and Retain Members & Volunteers (repeat) – teri engelke – UW Madison 
  • Session G: Relationship Building – Bill Lunney, Judie Pfeifer, Dan Miller – Friends of Capital Spring
3:30 – 4:30 pm: Workshop timeslot #3 –  (Choice of one)

  • Session J: Best Practices (repeat) – Mike Samsa – FWSP Board member

4:30 – 5:00 pm – Cocktail & networking
5:00 – 5:45 pm – Awards presentation: (10) Gold Seal Awards, (3) HERO Awards, DNR Volunteer Awards, FWSP President’s Award, Community Partner Award, Legislator Award
5:45 – 6:30 pm – Reception – seating for all attendees with 2 food stations and light refreshments:

  • Food Station #1: Slider Bar – mini beef patties, buffalo chicken patties w/cocktail rolls, buns & condiments, portobello mushroom caps, vegetable relish platter w/dip, potato chips
  • Food Station #2: Mashed Potato Bar – Steaming Garlic mashed potatoes served in a martini glass with a choice of infused butters and 7 toppings to choose from
  • Dessert
