The Friends of Point Beach State Forest are proud to introduce you to a truly unique slice of paradise on the lakeshore in North East Wisconsin. With more than 2,900 acres of forest and beach, Point Beach offers 127 family campsites, two indoor group cabins and an outdoor group campsite. There are numerous picnic areas with tables, grills, water, concession stand, playgrounds and restrooms. Point Beach also has 11 miles of hiking/skiing trails and a self guided half mile nature trail. Numerous Summer programs are scheduled at the Nature Center in the Lodge Building.
We are the Friends of Point Beach State Forest, a non-profit organization formed in 1999.The Friends of Point Beach is made up of members from the local communities surrounding the forest, as well as individuals, families, and organizations that wish to preserve the natural beauty of Point Beach State Forest for generations to come.
The “Friends” look forward to sponsoring events which bring together people from the surrounding area. We sponsor:
- a photo contest
- candlelight ski/hike
- Park clean-up
- sand sculpture contest, and
- a Fall festival.
