Lake Wissota State Park, near Chippewa Falls is currently looking for a campground host for the spring and fall seasons. A campground host is a volunteer position that is offered free camping for services that you provide to us and for our park guests. For 2014, we have an opening beginning about April 25th through May 22nd and an opening in the fall beginning about September 4th through October 31st.
Responsibilities of a volunteer campground host require approximately 2-4 hours of work daily and include; assisting campers with self-registration, posting reservations, providing information to park users, checking restrooms for cleanliness and stocking restroom supplies, picking up litter, cleaning campsites and campsite fire rings, painting, lawn mowing and other light maintenance as you are able and assigned. Candidates must be hospitable and friendly, self- motivated and able to work independently.
