Wisconsin State Parks Offer Halloween Hikes and Fall Festivals

State parks and forests across Wisconsin are offering Halloween hikes, hayrides and trick-or-treating as the holiday approaches.

On Friday, October 19, Saturday, October 20 and again on October 26 & 27, history and Halloween will come to life as area families enjoy Halloween at Heritage Hill! Bring your little ghosts and goblins and experience safe trick or treating throughout the park. Other favorite activities include: a costume contest, Halloween craft, scary storytelling, s ‘more making around the campfire, a shadow play and Hall of Horror. The Kettle Moraine State Forest-Northern Unit will offer Halloween nature hikes. Devil’s Lake State Park is offering a torch-lit hike, a bonfire and treats.

Point Beach State Forest is offering pumpkin carving, Governor Nelson State Park has scheduled a hike and bonfire and Mirror Lake State Park has set up a Halloween mystery candlelight hike. Mirror Lake State Park has a Halloween mystery Candlelight hike.
