Volunteer Opportunities

We need you! Individuals, couples, and families with children of all ages, as well as service groups and clubs are needed for worthwhile and fun projects. Whether you can spend a few minutes, hours, days, or months, a volunteer assignment can be tailored to meet your interests.

Volunteer opportunities are as diverse and numerous as the parks themselves. Volunteering is a rewarding way to give back to the community and become involved with stewarding our state’s natural resources. Wisconsin State Parks welcomes people of all interests and abilities. People with diverse backgrounds and experiences fill roles in all areas of our operation.

The beauty of this state, and the diversity of its natural resources has, over the years, attracted visitors in untold millions to the state’s parks and historic sites to learn, to stretch, to relax, to explore, to appreciate…and to find themselves by losing themselves in a world of grandeur and wonder.

Volunteerism is fun. It's an opportunity for you to get involved. By enriching the lives of others, you enrich your own. It will be an experience you will remember for years to come. A task somewhere is waiting to be done; a child somewhere is waiting to learn; a trail somewhere is waiting to be built.
